Earl R. Overman

Earl Overman, 90, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. He was born in Peru on June 13, 1929, the son of Ralph and Laura Edith Sharp Overman. Earl married Beverly Vincent on June 20, 1948 and she preceded him in death on September 9, 2013. Earl was a 1947 graduate of Clay Township High School and a member of the Amboy Friends Church. Earl was a 50 year member of the Miami County Gideons and a retired Miami County Farmer. Surviving is a son Randy (Donna) Overman of Peru, daughters Rhonda (Roger) Blackburn of Peru, Brenda (Mike) Blackburn of Noblesville, a son-in- law Darrell Boone of Wabash, a sister Irene Overman Kreer of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Roger Boone, Philip Boone, Ryan Blackburn, Scott Blackburn, Amy Flesher, Chris Blackburn, Melissa Simpson, Rebecca Overman, Zach Overman, Aaron Overman and Laura Presley, and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beverly, a daughter Sandra Boone, grandson Peter Boone and sister Dorthea Waters. Celebration of life for Earl Overman will be held at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the Family Life Center, Amboy Friends Church, 110 E. Pennsylvania St., Amboy, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 156, Amboy, IN 46911 to Gideons International or Amboy Friends Church.
