Donna J (Otiker) Stone

Donna J. Stone, 88, of Peru passed away at 7:15 PM, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Miami County on June 21, 1933 the daughter of Elton and Edrie Bohn Otiker. Donna married Hugh A. Stone at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Peru on December 11, 1955 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1995.

Donna was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and a member of the Peoria Church. She worked as a seamstress at McLaughlin Manufacturing, was a secretary at Farm Bureau, bookkeeper at Kessler-Westcott , a secretary at CR Metals and owned and operated the Stone Hearth Restaurant in the Broadway Plaza.

She is survived by son Tim Stone and Tammy Wagler of Peru; daughters Terri Zimmerman and her husband Dale of Lincoln, NE and Trudy Ribble and her husband Danny of Peru; grandchildren Allen Stone, Lacey Ribble, Jayme and Rob Hargrove and Kolby and Morgan Ribble and a great grandchildren Kale Ribble, Dakota Ribble, Kloie Hargrove, Daryn Wessel, Kaden Wessel and Willow Ribble.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hugh, a brother Harold Otiker and his wife Toni and sisters Thelma Beam and her husband Curtis and Marilyn Wybrew and her husband Frank.

A service celebrating the life of Donna J. Stone will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor Brian Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Mexico, IN. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Peoria Church.
