Donald W. Wideman

Donald W. Wideman, 81, formerly of North Grove, passed away at 10:37 A.M. July 21, 2020 at Waterford Place Health Campus, Kokomo, IN. Don was bornin Perrysburg, IN on April 11, 1939, the son of Clayton and Mary Teel Wideman. Don was a 1957 graduate of Clay Township High School and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Greentown American Legion Post 317. Don retired from Chrysler with over 30 years of service. Don was an avid Sprint Car and Nascar Fan and enjoyed going to the Chili Bowl in Tulsa OK Don is survived by his brother, Roland Wideman and his wife Alberta of Kokomo and a sister, Marcella Harris and her husband John of Ft. Wayne. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janis Wideman. A service celebrating the life of Donald W. Wideman will be held 3:00 P.M., Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St. with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Family and Friends will gather from 1:00 P.M. till time of service at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to the Greentown American Legion Post 317.
