Donald W. Mullett, 71, of Peru, passed away at 1:12 P.M., Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. He was born in Peru on August 18, 1952, the son of Norman “Tony” and Mary Lou Meischke Mullett. Donald married Becky Brechbiel on Sept 3, 1978 and she survives. Don was a Peru High School graduate and an US Army Veteran. He was employed as a custodian with the Peru Community School Systems. Don served as the bowling coach for the Peru High School Bowling Team for many years and was an avid fisherman. He was humble, generous and giving, all of which he demonstrated through his daily words and actions. Family was very important to Don and he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife Becky, are daughters Brenna Turner and her husband Greg of Delphi and April Mullett of Peru; grandchildren Abby (Brandon) Chapman, Alex (Brittany) Miller, Dalton(Lexi R.) Livesay, Peyton (Brooklyn) Livesay; great-grandchildren Lucy Miller and Madalynn Livesay and bonus great-grandchildren Sawyer Miller, Paisley Turner, Sofia Turner and Elsie Miller; a sister Marilyn “Sue” Hollenback and brother Ronald (Cindy) Mullett, Michael (Natalie) Mullett and Greg (Beth) Mullett. Visitation for Donald W. Mullett will be from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M., Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
