Donald Davis Obituary

Donald R. Davis, 73, of Peru passed away at 10:00 PM, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his residence. He was Born in Wabash County, IN on November 12, 1950, the son of Frank and Juanita Smith Davis. Don was a retired GM employee and a US Army Viet Nam veteran. His military decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Viet Nam Service Medal, the Viet Nam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Don enjoyed spending time with his friends at the VFW and Eagles. He loved playing the guitar and was an avid fisherman. He received great satisfaction in acts of quiet service to others during his entire life. Most of all, he did his best, lived well, loved and was loved by many – a life well lived by any standard. Surviving are his children Melissa Davis-Alford and her husband James of Burns, TN, Andrew Davis and his wife Katie of Fishers, IN, and Michelle Imbierowicz and her husband Matt of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren Hailey, Olivia, Nick and Ben Imbierowicz and Clara and Sadie Davis. Graveside services for Donald R. Davis will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024, at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana, with Rev. Randy Smoot officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Memorial donations in memory of Donald R. Davis may be made through the funeral home to the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
