Deborah G. Weisenberger

Deborah G. “Debbie” Weisenberger, 52, of Peru, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Peru. She was born in Peru on April 16, 1966, the daughter of Donna Henderson Hines, Mort Hines (adopted), and James Heverin. Debbie married John Weisenberger on May 28, 1988 and he survives. Debbie was a 1984 graduate of Peru High School and Ball State University in 1988, where she graduated Magna Cume Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Debbie worked as a Loan Officer at Hometown Federal Credit Union. With an infectious laugh, Debbie was an outgoing, fun loving person with a heart for people, but her pride and joy shone brightest in her daughters. Surviving in addition to her husband, John, her mother Donna Hines of Peru; her adopted father, Mort Hines of Florida; biological father, James Heverin; daughters Sarah Weisenberger of Peru and Lindsay Weisenberger of Bloomington, IN; mother-in-law Carolyn Markley of Denver, IN; sister-in-law, Karen (Jamie) Trigg of Deedsville; aunt, Beth Finicle of Las Vegas; Nephews Blake and Chris Trigg and Marcus Ramsey; special friend Pam Raderstorf; constant companion, her little dog, Sugar; and several aunts and uncles on the East Coast. A service celebrating the life of Deborah G. Weisenberger will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, with Pastor Jerry Long officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the City of Peru Animal Care and Control.
