Deborah L. "Debbie" (Heseltine) Butte

Deborah Lynn Butte, 69, of Peru passed away at 4:08 AM, Saturday, February 25, 2023, at her home. She was born in Chicago, IL on January 17, 1954, the daughter of Dan and Maedell (Storsved) Heseltine. Deborah married Michael Butte in Las Vegas, NV on July 27, 1985, and he survives. Debbie was a loving mother and grandmother, hard worker and one great cook – specialty Homemade Chicago pizza. She will be remembered by her great sense of humor, and her love for classic movies. She was a Fabulous bartender who loved to share many great stories. Additional likes included; Starbucks Coffee, 8 ball pool, Turkey Run State Park, finding antiques, vacationing, enjoyed gardening, and feeding hummingbirds. In addition to her husband Michael, Deborah is survived by her children Christopher (Shannon) Butte of Peru, Timothy Butte and his partner Andrea Stout of Avon, IN, Daniel Butte of Peru, Sandra (David) Dittman of Tinley Park, IL, Jennifer (Michael) Krause of New Lenox, IL and Lee Wilson of Rochester, IN; 12 Grandchildren; and brothers Dan (Diana) Heseltine of New Lenox, IL, and Duane Heseltine of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service celebrating the life of Deborah Lynn Butte will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN with Reverend Jeremy Hatley officiating. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to NICF for the Buffy Maedell Butte Scholarship Fund.
