David D. Betzner

David Dean Betzner, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Waters of Peru. He was born on September 22, 1952, in Peru, Indiana, to the late Wayne and Betty Betzner. David is survived by his daughter, Kristen (Nathan), and his granddaughter, Kate, both of Belgrade, Montana. He is also survived by his brother, Steve, of Chicago. A lifelong farmer, David was affectionately known as “Farmer Dave.” He had an outgoing personality, and never met a stranger. He was involved in his community, having volunteered for many years with the Miami County 4-H Fair, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home in Peru, with visitation prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Rankin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Helping Hands.
