Coral Dodt Hasselkus, 89, of Peru, passed away at 10:43 AM, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at her residence.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 28, 1934, the daughter of Cameron T. and Margaret (Borchardt) Smith.
She married Kenneth Hasselkus of Elmore, Ohio on July 10, 1954.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ken of 57 years, parents, sister Naomi Conway, infant son David and granddaughter Abigail Grace Hasselkus.
She is survived by her children Kathy Fink (Rick) Prosper, TX, Ken Hasselkus (Judy) Indianapolis, IN, Kim Struble (Mike) Peru, IN, and Kris Hasselkus (Marci) Peru, IN.
Grandchildren Megan (Zach) Black, Maddie (Eric) Dean, Michelle (Grant) Cade, Mallory Struble, Vanya and Nikki Fink, Tyler Stites and Gauge Hasselkus.
Great grandchildren Zoe and Aden Black, Cooper Cade, and Evan, Ethan, and Emmett Dean.
She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Wabash. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, camping, and traveling, but what she valued most was the time she spent with her family and her ministry.
Friends may visit Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN. Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the funeral home at 4:00 PM with Elder Matthew Wickham officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Payton Manning Children’s Hospital or the Circus City Festival Scholarship Fund.
