Christine Howard, 84, of Peru, passed away at 4:05 A.M., Friday, January 31, 2025 at her son’s home.  She was born in Leslie County, Kentucky, on November 23, 1940, the daughter of Emery and Katy Baker.   Christine married Bobby Howard on June 9, 1960 and he preceded her in death in January of 1995.

Surviving are her children Robert (Linda) Howard, Jerry (Nancy) Howard and Tim (Christie) Howard all of Peru; grandchildren Jessica Turner, Keith Boggs, Peyton Howard, Jerry Howard, Jr., Wade Howard, Brittany Howard, Casondra Oldaker, Steven Holland, Christopher Howard and Connor James Howard; and siblings Erenst Baker of Peru, Delphia Boggs of Wabash, Lexine Hicks of Peru, Fay Hendrix of Crab Orchard, KY, Irene Coldwell of KY, Ray Baker of KY and Alice Boggs of KY.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Mary Baker, her husband, Bobby, a son Keith Howard and siblings Wade Baker and Arvel Baker.

Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN.  A service celebrating the life of Christine Howard will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 8, 2025 at McKnight Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Crab Orchard, KY  40419 with burial following at Dix River Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 12 Noon. to 2:00 Saturday prior to the service.
