Charles M. Barnett, 79, of Converse, passed away on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at the Kokomo Healthcare Center. He was born in Shirley, Arkansas on April 2, 1946, the son of Charlie and Gwendolyn Little Barnett. Charles was a 1964 graduate of Maconaquah High School, and served as a police officer for 22 years. Charles is survived by his daughters Tonya (Mike) Carroll of Converse and Rachel True of FL; grandchildren Kyle Carroll of Converse; great-grandchildren Gracie, Joshlyn, Tanner and Blake; siblings Hershel (Carolyn) Barnett of Kokomo, Melinda “Sue” Hurt of MO, and Vicki Kellett of MO. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Dawn Barnett, grandchildren Shayla Carroll and Joshua Carroll, and a brother-in-law Harold Hurt. A Celebration of Life honoring Charles M. Barnett will be held from 12:00 - 5:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Amboy Friends Church, 110 E Pennsylvania St. Amboy, IN, 46911.
