Carol J Bowman

Carol J. Bowman, 87, of Kokomo, IN, passed away November 21, 2019 at Bloom of Kokomo. She was born in Miami County, the daughter of Roscoe and Viola Gates Horner.

Carol attended Converse High School and attended Kokomo Zion United Methodist Church. She worked as a grain buyer for Amboy Grain and Kokomo Grain for many years. She was a fifty year member of Eastern Star and went through the chairs. She had an interest in local history and enjoyed hand quilting.

Surviving are her daughters; Ann Bowman of Oro Valley, AZ, and Ginger Chasteen and her husband Don of Kokomo, IN; brothers Norman “Bud” Horner and his wife Bonnie of Converse, IN, and Thomas Horner and his wife Carol of Converse, IN, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter Barbara Bowman.

A service celebrating the life of Carol Bowman will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Kokomo Zion United Methodist Church, 5051 E 400 N, Kokomo, IN, with Pastor Jeanne Winter officiating. Burial will follow in the Converse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00AM Monday at Kokomo Zion United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideon's International.
