Bonniebelle "Bonnie" (Ramsey) Horner

Bonniebelle (Bonnie) Horner, 86, of rural Converse, passed away at 12:45 P.M., Monday, January 4, 2021 at Century Villa Health Care Center. She was born in Miami County on January 7, 1934, the daughter of Paul and Bernice Jenkins Ramsey. She married Norman “Bud” Horner on December 20, 1974 and he survives. Bonnie graduated from Bunker Hill High School in the class of 1952 and made a career at American Stationary in Peru before changing career paths and eventually retiring from First Farmers Bank and Trust of Converse, IN. Bonnie enjoyed her involvement with the Deer Creek Do-Ettes and was a member of Amboy Friends Church. She had a life-saving relationship with Jesus Christ and no fear in death knowing that her eternity was secure in Him. Combined, Bud and Bonnie have 5 children, her son and daughter and Bud’s 3 sons respectively: Barry (Leila) Bowyer, Bobbi (Bret) Renbarger, Frank (Jenny) Horner, Mark (Denise) Horner and Gary(Jane) Horner. Later in life Bonnie was blessed to be grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Bonnie leaves behind her husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law (Tom and Carol Horner), children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Deane (Laverna) Ramsey, Don (Marlene-living) Ramsey, Dale (Doris – living) Ramsey and Delton (Nancy) Ramsey. A service celebrating the life of Bonnie Horner will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Amboy Friends Church, 110 E. Pennsylvania Ave, Amboy with Pastor Dwight Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., Saturday at the Amboy Friends Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Amboy Friends Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Amboy, IN.
