Betty Betzner, 93, of Peru passed away at 7:25 PM, Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She was born in Monrovia, CA on February 24, 1928 the daughter of Lloyd Alvin and Lillian Blanche Porter Fox. Betty married Wayne Betzner in Upland, CA on February 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2016. Betty graduated from Chaffe High School in Ontario, CA and attended Ball State University. She was a home maker and a member of the First Christian Church. Betty was a charter member and past president of Dukes Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Family was very important to Betty and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived life fully, setting an example grounded in great personal courage, wit and integrity. She is survived by her sons Stephen Betzner of Chicago, IL and David Betzner of Peru; a granddaughter Kristen Betzner and her husband Nathan McDaniels and great granddaughter Katherine Martindale. A private funeral service for Betty Betzner was held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Steve Zerbe officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN to Miami County Helping Hands.
