Barry J. Berglan, 57, of Peru passed away at 7:30 PM, Friday, March 31, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Peru on May 10, 1965, the son of Merval and Mary Ann (Hatfield) Berglan. Barry was a 1985 graduate of Peru High School and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. After high school, Barry enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. His military decorations include the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. After being Honorably Discharged, he returned to Peru where he worked for Bryan Steam. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Bunker Hill Fish and Game Club. Survivors his companion Lisa Azbell, a half-brother Charlie Fisher, several cousin, including Matthew Berglan and many friends including Chad Brown. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, IN 46970. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Miami County Helping Hands or St. Charles Catholic Church.
