Audra J. Simpson, 85, of Amboy passed away at 9:35 PM, Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She was born in Amboy, IN on September 26, 1938, the daughter of Samuel and Lois Sutton Stepler. Audra married Roscoe Simpson on August 27, 1994, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2007.

Audra was a member of the Amboy United Methodist Church and involved in numerous clubs and organizations, including Rebecca Lodge 334 and Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children Jeffery Beene of Florida, Eric (Sherrie) Beene of Peru, IN, Tracy (Matt) Vickers of Gas City and Nichole (Jeremy) Myers of Decatur, IN. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, including Krista Beene. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roscoe, son Tony Beene, four brothers and three sisters.

A service celebrating the life of Audra J. Simpson will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Amboy, IN with Pastor Randy Smoot officiating. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 to 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the funeral home.
