Albert L. Steely

Albert L. Steely, 81, of North Grove, passed away at 4:08 P.M., Monday, January 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Blackey, KY, on May 9, 1943, the son of Henry and Erma (Caudill) Steely. He married Cathy Oldaker and she survives. Albert served in the US Army and is a retired forklift operator from Chrysler. He was an avid gardener, a hunting enthusiast, and raised dogs for rabbit hunting. Albert is survived by his son, Brad Steely; grandchildren Carter Steely, Tucker Steely and Braden Steely and a sister Lillie (Gary) Taylor. He was preceded by his parents, siblings Mary Bryant, Atha Bryant, Everrett Steely, Joe Steely and Bob Steely. A service celebrating the life of Albert L. Steely will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Amboy. Family and friends will gather from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., Saturday at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home. Albert will be laid to rest in Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
