Albert Jeffery Bishop, 89, of Peru passed away at 12:40 P.M. Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Eaton, OH on April 14, 1931 the son of Albert R. and Elsie Inez Clark Bishop. Al married Barbara Morris on July 17, 1955 and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2017.
Al graduated from Purdue University in 1959 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was President of Brian Steam Corp. where he was employed for 32 years. Al was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, his military decorations include The Good Conduct Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Korean Service Medal, The China Service Medal and The United States Service Medal. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Peru. Al belonged to the American Legion, the VFW, the Peru Maennerchor and the American Society of Professional Engineers.
Al is survived by a son Christopher (Maureen) Bishop of Denver, IN, a daughter Pamala Wyckoff of Peru, grandchildren Jeff (Katie) Lewis, Seth (Kristina) Bishop, Lucas Acord, Grayson Acord, Alyssa (Matt) McKinney, and Mikala Wyckoff, great grandchildren, Madilyn Lewis, Dax Bishop, Railyn Sharp, and Raniyah Sharp.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, and sisters Pauline Jeanes and Marjorie Morgan.
A service celebrating the life of Albert Jeffery Bishop will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru with Pastor Steve Quinlan officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Cass County, IN. Family and friends will gather from 5-8 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
