Robert H Brown

Robert H. Brown, Jr., 82, passed away at his residence in Amboy, IN on November 10, 2019.  He was born May 23, 1937 in Anderson, IN, the son of Robert H. Brown, Sr. and Virginia Mae Hayden who preceded him in death.  He married Mary Turner on February 5, 1977 and she survives.

Bob worked as a mechanic at both Graham Ford and Brown’s Auto Shop in Amboy.  He was very proud of his many years of service as a Boy Scout Troop Leader for troop #424 in Amboy.  Bob was an avid IU fan and loved his Indianapolis Colts as well.  He also loved gardening and was a Past Master at the Converse Masonic Lodge #601.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Mary and cat, Daisy, four children; Holly (George) Bellamy of Kokomo, Scott Brown of Converse, Tiffany (Jerry) Johnson of Amboy and Nick Brown of Fairmount, IN., sister-in-law, Lynn Brown, Peru, two step-brothers, Xen (Susie) Prickett, Peru and Keith (Kayla) Prickett of Marion, IN, eight grandchildren; Leah (Tim) Miller, Megan (Christian) Casciola, Jullian (Meredith) Bellamy, Jasmine Bellamy, Jessica Bellamy, Tahj Johnson, Tai Johnson, Kinzy Goodman, Mason Brown, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Brown, two step-mothers, Velma Prickett Brown and Helen Kratzer Brown.

A service celebrating the life of Robert Brown will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Amboy Friends Church with Pastor Dwight Elliot officiating. Visitation will be at the Church on Friday starting at 10:00 AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made through Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to the Amboy Friends Church or Boy Scout Troop # 424.
