Robert Hugh Boswell

October 12, 1931 ~ October 30, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

 Robert H. Boswell, 86, of rural Denver, IN, passed away 2:11 PM, Monday, October 30, 2017 at Millers Merry Manor in Peru. He was born in Peru on October 12, 1931, the son of Hugh and Ruth Alger Boswell. Bob married Marilyn Boswell at the Denver United Methodist Church on September 28, 1958 and she survives.

Bob was a 1949 graduate of Chili High School and a 1950 graduate of the Purdue University Agricultural Short Course. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1952 – April 1954 and was stationed in Germany for 18 months. His military declarations include the National Defense Service Medal, and the Army Occupation Medal. Bob was a member of the Denver United Methodist Church and an avid collector of antique glass and dishes. Bob was a retired Miami County Farmer, and a long time cattle feeder. He was a Civil Service Employee at Grissom Air Force Base retiring in 1997 and also read meters for REMC for five years.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 59 years, Marilyn are sons William H. Boswell and his wife Marilyn of Sheridan, IN, David R. Boswell and his wife Lisa of Aurora, CO, and Richard L. Boswell of North Manchester, IN, three grandsons Evan Boswell, Chad Boswell and Greggory Boswell and a great grandson John Martin Boswell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Deloris Robison. A service celebrating the life of Robert H. Boswell will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Dr. Sam Young officiating. Burial will be in Chili Cemetery with Military Graveside Services provided by members of the Miami County Military Rites Unit.

Family and friends will gather from 4:00-8:00 PM, Friday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made through the funeral home to the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
