Richard W. Holley

Richard W. Holley, 82, of Peru, Indiana passed away at 9:45 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 15, 1935, the son of William J. and Rose L. McHugh Holley. Richard married Rosemarie Nudd in Newport England in 1956 and she preceded him in death on August 18, 2012.

Richard was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and a retired U S Air Force Master Sergeant. He was also a member of the Peru Moose Lodge and a former K-Mart Employee. Surviving is a daughter Donna Smiley and her husband David, Lafayette, IN; sons Rick Holley and his wife Sylvia of Centerville, OH, Robert Holley and his wife Toni of Lemont, IL and Scott Holley of Peru, IN. Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosemarie, daughter Rosanne, and a stepsister Betty.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Richard W. Holley will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Family and friends will gather from 11:00AM -1:00 PM, Saturday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. Military Graveside services conducted by the Miami County Military Rites Unit will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to Miami County Helping Hands.
