Quincy Combs Obituary

Quincy Eugene Combs, 89, of Peru, passed away at 11:48 P.M., Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. He was born in LaGrange, IN on July 8, 1928, the son of Allan D. and Mabel Ruth Parr Combs. Quincy married Mable “Mibs” Lee Eshelman in Wolcottville, IN on July 8, 1950 and she survives. Quincy was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He was a member of the Denver Baptist - Zion Chapel Church.

Quincy always worked as a Manager or a Supervisor in supermarkets. He then owned and operated his own store. Quincy was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa. No one was a stranger to Quincy as he was known for his great sense of humor. Sports, fishing, riding bikes, walking anything to do with being out and about in nature but horses were his love he enjoyed raising and riding his horses.

Surviving in addition to his wife, “Mibs” are daughters Melody Obst, and her husband Kirk, Denise Taft, Michele Smith and her husband Keith and Kristina Rabe and her husband Herbert Michael; grandchildren Philip, Michael, Danielle, and her husband Andrew, Tiffany and her husband Quincy, Brandon, Dustin, Danny, Greg, and Michael and his wife Gretchen; great grandchildren Taylor, Austin, Aaliyah, Javon, Amiyah, Ashira, Kaysen, Cameron, Alayna, Haidyn Justus, Mayson, Trent, Lilliana, Oliver and Elliot

Quincy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wilbur Combs and a sister Mildred Fleck.

There will be no services at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
