Max E Miller

  Max E. Miller, 84, of Peru passed away at 11:50 PM, Friday, October 11, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Peru.  He was born in Miami County, Indiana on September 14, 1935, the son of Sherman and Florence Binkerd Miller

  Max was a 1954 graduate of Peru High School, a member of the Salem Christian Church and a retired Miami County farmer.  He was a member of the Eagles, Moose, Peru Maennerchor and the Fraternal Order of Police.  Max enjoyed farming, gardening, golfing and playing shuffleboard in Florida.

  He is survived by his children, Greg Miller of Bunker Hill, Lisa Schrader and her husband, Robert, of Peru and Derek Miller and his wife, Lynn, of Greentown, Indiana; grandchildren Jena (Doug) Chopson, Ryan Miller and Sara (Devin) Zimmerman; a great-grandson Elijah Chopson; sisters, Viola (Byron) Sommers, Kokomo, Phyllis York, Peru, Shirley Jones, Peru, Patty (Tom) Chaffee, Kokomo and Rita Hoagland of Kokomo,  his former wife and the mother of his children, Janet Calendine of Peru and his former wife Diane Miller of Kokomo.

  A service celebrating the life of Max E. Miller will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St. Peru, Indiana.  Family and friends will gather from 11:00 AM until the time of service Wednesday the Eikenberry-Eddy funeral home.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Salem Christian Church.
