Madeline Lautenschlager, 77, of Peru passed away at 10:00 PM, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Peru on June 12, 1940 the daughter of Everett and Hazel Yoder Crippen. Madeline married Walter (Fred) Lautenschlager in  Kokomo on November 3, 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2009. Madeline was a 1958 graduate of Peru High School, a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose. Madeline was most passionate and dedicated to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Dukes Memorial Hospital and as a Clerk for Hughes Auction Services. She thoroughly enjoyed trips to the Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson, IN. She is survived by her daughter Jody Comerford and her husband David of Peru; granddaughters Brandi Murphy and her husband Jeff of Peru, Jessica Brown and her husband Randy of Fishers, IN and Alexis Dunn and her husband Travis of Peru; great grandchildren Devin Reagle, Bradley Reagle, Maliyah Dunn, Raelynn Dunn, Harper Brown and J.D. Brown. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Madeline Lautenschlager will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Pastor Lauren Hall officiating. Family and friends will gather from 2:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Main Street United Methodist Church.
