Lula B. Woolfolk, affectionately known as “Robbie” by family and friends, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN after a three week battle with intensive emergency medical issues. Lula was born on September 24, 1947 to Modestine and Robert L. Burnette, Sr. who preceded her in death as did her step father Lee Broomfield. Survivors include her son, James W. Woolfolk and grandson, Jalonnie Woolfolk, as well as a sister, Rosetta Trotter of Carson, CA and a brother Robert L. Burnett, Jr. of Peru. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Lula has lived in Peru for 25 years after moving from Chicago, IL. Since 2015 she has been a resident of Miller’s Merry Manor and Aperion Care. Visitation will be at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service following at 4:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 19th at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 West 5th St., Peru with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be at the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
