Johanna Emery, 85, of Peru, passed away at 6:46 AM, Thursday. August 10, 2017 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. Johanna was born in Brydonbach, Germany on June 30, 1932, the daughter of Franz and Franzeska Hartzer Wollner. She married Keith E. Emery in Germany on February 14, 1955 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2008.

Johanna worked at United Technology’s here in Peru until her retirement. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

Johanna is survived by sons Robert K. Emery and his wife Shirley, Franz Emery, Jr., and Daniel Emery; daughters Claudia Mann and her husband Magail, Christina Emery, Elizabeth Emery and Franzeska VanHorn; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith and a son John.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the family of Johanna to assist in burial expenses.
