Jeanne Koehler, 71, of Kokomo, IN, passed away at 11:55 A.M., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in El Paso, TX on December 13, 1946 the daughter of Leonard and Nita Kramer Jackson. Jeanne married George Koehler at Scott AFB, IL on April 15, 1967 and he survives. Jeanne was a beautician and a member of the McGrawsville United Methodist Church. Her love for the Lord, and for people, shown as she served on several missions and was an avid prayer warrior. Jeanne enjoyed quilting, hunting for antiques, reading, camping, traveling and cooking. Surviving in addition to her husband, George, is a daughter, Patty Willson and her husband Don of Bunker Hill and a son, Tony Koehler and his wife Cennet of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren Wesley Willson, Wayde Willson, Wyatt Willson, Chris Koehler, Justin Koehler and Jordan Koehler, sisters Sherry Crurger of Mascoutah, IL, Connie Trokey of Breeze, IL, brothers John Jackson of Carlyle, IL and Mike Jackson formerly of Mascoutah, IL and her faithful friend, her dog, Sydney. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Zachary Koehler, a brother, Jay Jackson, and a brother-in-law Steve Trokey. A service celebrating the life of Jeanne Koehler will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at McGrawsville UMC 9377 S. 300 E., Amboy, IN with Pastor Steve Austin and Pastor Kenny Cole officiating. Family and friends will gather from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Marion National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru, IN 46970 to the McGrawsville UMC Benevolence fund and/or Scholarships to Red Bird Mission.
