James A. Winch, Jr.

James A. Winch, Jr., 23, of Peru, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Marietta, Ohio. He was born in Rochester, IN on March 28, 1996, the son of James A. and Rena Harvey Winch, Sr. Jim was a 2015 graduate of Peru High School and a US Marine Corp Veteran. His military decorations include the National Defense Service Medal. Jim’s greatest joys in life where his family and his Christian faith. He was an avid collector of baseball cards and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his mother and step father, Robert and Rena Conley of Peru, his father James A. Winch, Sr. of Peru, and siblings Aubrey Sams, Micah Winch, Joel Correll, Hannah Souden, Andrew Winch and Hanna Winch, maternal grandmother Wilma Harvey of Rochester, IN and paternal grandmother Kathy Winch of Ocala, FL. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Weldon Harvey and his paternal grandfather Edwin Winch, Jr. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 4, 2019 at Apostolic Chapel, 760 Jackson Ave., Peru. A service celebrating the life of James A. Winch, Jr. will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday at the Apostolic Chapel with Rev. Chris Reed officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, Peru.
