Jack Martin "Marty" Davies

Jack Martin “Marty” Davies, II, 71, of Peru, passed away at 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor, Peru. He was born in Elwood, IN on May 2, 1947, the son of Jack Martin Davies and Tillie Buttler Davies Holmes. Marty went to Elwood High School where he played football and ran track.

Marty was employed by the Peru Fire Department and Grissom Air Force Base as a dispatcher. He also worked at Redmon’s Basket Factory, Bona Vista and, for over 10 years at Heraeus Electro-Nite.

He is survived by a brother Tim Davies and his wife Keri, of Peru, a sister Cheri Davies, Elwood, IN; aunts Lucille Barnes, Elwood, IN and Bert Buttler, Swayze, IN; nieces and nephews Jacklyn Davies, Derek Davies and his wife Jessica, Andrea Batdorf and her husband Jeremy; several great nieces and nephews; lots of cousins, tons of friends and a special cousin Deral Ann Beckley.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother John Kenneth Davies, paternal grandparents Jenkin James and Pearl Hurst Davies; maternal grandparents Roy and Zora Waymire Buttler.

A service celebrating the life of Jack Martin “Marty” Davies, II will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Pastor Brian Daniels officiating. Burial will be at Peoria Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, Thursday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
