Helen J. Dotterer, 91, of Peru passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Blair Ridge in Peru. Helen was born in Auburn, IN on September 13, 1927 to Rex V. and Edna H. Wilson Dotterer.
Helen graduated from Peru High School in 1947 and retired from Hamilton Standard after thirty-six and a half years. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Peru Ruth Chapter #120 OES.
Surviving is a sister, Ruth E. Briner of Peru, two nieces, Jan (Ron) Douglas, of Pendleton, IN, and Beth A. Miller, of Wabash, three great nieces, two great nephews, seven great-great nieces and nephews, and two great-great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary L. Barrand, a brother, Robert W. Dotterer, and a niece, Ann Dotterer.
A service celebrating the life of Helen J. Dotterer will be held at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Peru, on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11AM officiated by Pastor Stephen Quinlan. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 10AM-11AM, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to the First Presbyterian Church.
