Gregory A. Smyth

Gregory “Greg” Alan Smyth, 63, of Sharpsville, Indiana, died unexpectedly at home on December 24, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1955, to Hobert and Jean Smyth. He married Tammy on October 26, 1990.

Greg was a hard worker, dedicated to his job as Service Technician with Brehob Corporation.  He will be remembered as having a great passion for being a “Papaw” to his grandchildren and loved spending as much time with them as possible.  His hobbies included working on his motorcycle and hunting.  He was also an avid golfer and loved taking his friends and family out to the golf course.

Greg is survived by his wife, Tammy Smyth; his former wife, Karen Smyth and children and grandchildren:  eldest daughter, Samantha Smyth, and her children, Sloane and Taliya Smyth; daughter, Nichole Smyth-Wilson (Tom), and their children, Rhys and Finn Wilson; son, Brandon Smyth, and his children, Bryce and Chloe Smyth. He is also survived by his father Hobert Smyth, and his sister Joyce Hughes (Terry), and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws, Sherry (David) Maggart, Phil Hurlburt, and Steve Bedwell (Elva). He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Smyth.

A service celebrating the life of Gregory A. Smyth, will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 29,2018 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru with Pastor David Jodry officiating.  Burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN.  Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
