Frank George Lampkin

Frank G. Lampkin, 78, of Amboy, IN passed away at 6:15 AM, Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Carbo, VA, on March 8, 1940 the son of Charles Bolton and Cynthia Ann Worley Lampkin. Frank married Jane Ann Dangerfield in Lebanon, VA, on September 8, 1969 and she survives.

Frank attended Castlewood High School and was a US Army veteran. His military decorations include the Good Conduct Medal and he was life member of the Miami County VFW Post 2067. Frank was a Norfolk and Southern engineer for 10 years and the spent the next 30 years of his life opening new stores in the western part of the United States for Home Depot. An avid Nascar enthusiast Frank enjoyed watching, building and collecting Nascar Memorabilia.

Surviving in addition to his wife Jane are sisters Elizabeth Ingle and her husband Wes of St. Paul, VA, Barbara Herd and her husband Ted of Lank Land, FL, and Mary Patrick and her husband Tommy of Mocomb, MI; a nephew Scot Lampkin, Warsaw, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ed Lampkin.

Graveside services for Frank George Lampkin will be held at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with Pastor Dwight Elliott officiating. Military honors will be provided by members of the Miami County Military Rites Unit.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
