Dorothy M. Wallick, 85, Peru, Indiana passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, in the comfort of her home. She was born November 9, 1931 to parents Ernest E. Johnson and Edith M. Hall in Green County, IN. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bud” Wallick Sr., on January 5th, 2007, her step-mother, Rene Myers Johnson, brothers Doyle, Roger, and Leslie Boyd, Dan, Harold and Gary Johnson and sister, Carol Redd.

Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of Tipton High School. She and Charles owned and operated Wallick Electric Motor Service until their retirement in 1983. Dorothy also worked as a cashier at the local Kroger. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and sewing as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters, Connie Johnson-Brown and Mary Johnson; children, Charles W. Wallick (Suzanne Wallick) of Salina, KS, Gary Wallick of Monticello, IN, Karen Ventura (Juan Ventura) of McKinney, TX, Randy Wallick (Debi Wallick) of Peru, IN; grandchildren, Chad Wallick, Kristina Polk, Elizabeth Lee (Jim), Adam Wallick (Rebecca), Mark Ventura (John Peebles), Tony Ventura (Amanda), Alison Ventura, Brittainy Rudd (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Kylie and Hunter Polk, Victoria Wallick, Shawnee, Sierra and Sedona Quackenbush, Harrison and Alden Elizabeth Ventura. Dorothy is also survived by step-grandchildren, Melissa Black (Todd), Misty Grayson (Michael), Matt Birner (Erica), and several step-great-grandchildren.

The family of Dorothy Wallick will receive friends at Eikenberry Eddy Funeral Home Monday, September 18, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The memorial and funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Cole presiding.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s name be made to the American Heart Association.
