Doris "Momma" Timmons

Doris Timmons, 83, widely known to family and friends as “Momma Timmons”, passed away at 7:45 P.M., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at DuPont Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Birmingham, AL, on July 26, 1936, the daughter of George and Susie Ann Scott Allen. Momma Timmons married Robert L. Timmons, Jr. in Rochester, NY. Momma Timmons attended Empire State College and was an Evangelist. She is survived by daughters Romona Henderson, Nancy Ann McBride, and Georgette Ervin, a son Roy Timmons, Jr. and sisters Suzzette, Jane and Emily. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Susie Timmons, a son Randall Bryant and brothers Less and Theodore Allen. Visitation for Doris “Momma” Timmons will be held  from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru. A service celebrating the life of Doris “Momma” Timmons will be held at 6:00 P.M., Sunday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Boyer officiating.
