Darci Marie Casper

Darci Marie Casper, 29, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Kokomo, IN on August 12, 1988 the daughter of Thomas J. and Lynn Dee Hullinger Casper. Darci was a 2007 graduate of Peru High School and she graduated from the Indiana Business College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She was employed as a Vet Tech at the Tippecanoe Animal Hospital for 7 ½ years and was a Nationally Registered Vet Tech. Animals received exceptional compassion from Darci’s care, and she was a true lover of all animals. Darci was a Colts fan, an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally with her family. She is survived by her father, Thomas J. Casper of Peru, her mother, Lynn Dee Austin of Las Vegas, NV, a brother Derek M. Casper of Noblesville, IN, uncles Scott Hullinger of Las Vegas, Charles Hullinger of Nicholasville, KY and Jerry Casper of Gardner, MA and an aunt Tana Hullinger of Lakeville, IN. Darci was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Harold and Mary Margaret Casper and her maternal grandparents Frank and Mary Anna Hullinger. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Darci Marie Casper will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 17, 2018 at the St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 West 5th St. Peru with Rev. Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru and from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., Friday at the St. Charles Catholic Church. There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
