Brian Cunningham

Brian Cunningham, 54, of Sweetser, IN passed away at 10:00 P.M., Monday, July 22, 2019 in Amboy, IN. He was born in Kokomo on July 1, 1965, the son of Clifton and Nancy Hardacre Cunningham. Brian married Wendy Smith on November 2, 1991 and she survives. Brian was a 1983 graduate of Oak Hill High School and was employed as a machinist at Dana Corp. An avid outdoorsman, Brian thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Brian followed the Purdue Boilermakers, the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburg Steelers. He also, followed local Oak Hill sports and in recent years, Elwood volley ball, where his daughter is the coach. Surviving in addition to his wife Wendy, is a daughter Lindsay Durm and her husband Aaron of Elwood, a son Chris Cunningham and his fiancé Heather Petro of Sweetser, a granddaughter Charleigh Cunningham, his parents Clifton and Nancy Cunningham of Converse and sisters Rhonda Hall and her husband Jeff of Converse and Brenda Holcom and her husband Kevin of Converse. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncle, cousin, nieces and nephews. A service celebrating the life of Brian Cunningham will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 North Main Street, Amboy. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery, Amboy, IN. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Saturday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Chicago, IL.
