Billie Childers, 65, of Peru, IN, passed away at 9:40 AM, Monday, December 19, 2011 at her residence. She was born on November 26, 1946 in Sheridan, WV the daughter of Kenneth and Elva Hale Triplett. She married Killus B. Childers on December 26, 1982 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2004.

Billie had previously worked at Nixon Newspapers and Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include a daughter Teresa Kelley of Peru, IN; a son Eugene Murl Snowden of Logansport, IN; a stepson Kenneth Childers and his wife Annie of Logansport, IN; three sisters Barbara Kauffman of Peru, IN, Patty Reeves of Pine Bluff, AR, and Debra Roy and her husband Ron of Collinsville, IL; two brothers Charles Triplett and his wife Sue of Peru, IN and Joe Triplett of Wheeling, WVA; and two grandchildren Dartagnan Childers and Todd Ryan Kelley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Killus, a daughter Janet Rogers and a grandson Hunter E. Robbins.

A service celebrating the life of Billie Childers will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru, IN with Pastor Rose Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN. Family and friends will gather from 4:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
