Barbara S (Lee) Fowler

Barbara S. Fowler (MSGT, USAF, ret.), 60, of North Grove, IN, passed away at 9:05 A.M., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 21, 1957, the daughter of Donald M and Colleen S. Murray Lee. Barbara was married to Larry Fowler and he preceded her in death. Barbara was a 1975 graduate of Maconaquah High School and served as a Non Commissioned Officer in the US Air Force for 22 years retiring on August 31, 1998. She is survived by a daughter Angelia Sawyer of Kokomo, sisters Rebecca Stevens and her husband Jim of Georgia and Teresa Hershberger and her husband Rich of Peru, and her caregivers and special friends Charlie and Brandi Smith of North Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son John Swain. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 North Main Street, Amboy, IN. A service celebrating the life of Barbara S. Fowler will at 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Smoot officiating. Military Graveside Services provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
