Mary Pauline Myers, 97, of rural Kokomo passed away at 4:55 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Century Villa Health Care in Greentown, IN. She was born in Marshal County, IN on August 2, 1919, the daughter of Emanuel and Mazie Olive Kendall Troyer. Pauline married Dorwin “D.C.” Myers on February 13, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2003. Pauline was a homemaker and an active member of Howard-Miami Mennonite Church until her later years. She enjoyed quilting, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters Vada Saffer and her husband Keith of Flagler, CO, Susan Newton of Newport, NC, and Carolyn Myers of Kokomo, IN, daughter-in-law Elsie Myers Horner (Don) of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren Ronda (Bill) Peeples, Melinda Saffer, David (Stephanie) Saffer, Karla Myers, Hannah Myers (Veronica), Eric (Jessie) Myers, Sarah (Raul) Ramirez and Daniel (Chrysse) Newton; great-grandchildren Landry Peeples, Emma Peeples, Adalyn Saffer, Ezra Saffer, Colt Myers, Reese Myers, Robert Cullen IV, Kien Matthews and Grayson Ramirez; sisters-in-law Evonna King of Goshen, IN, and Pauline Rhine of Bunker Hill, IN; numerous step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her special cat companion “Momma Kitty”. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband D.C., son Dennis Myers, grandson Darren Newton, son-in-law Dick Newton, sisters Letha Troyer, Florence Weaver, Esther Sommers, Eva Osborne, Helen Slabaugh, and brother Paul Troyer. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Howard-Miami Mennonite Church, 3976 E 1400 S, Kokomo, IN. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Mast Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, at Howard-Miami Mennonite Church with Pastors Ben and Sarah Schlegel officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Howard-Miami Mennonite Church.
