Lynn Diane McKinney, 76, formerly of Peru, passed away at 4:33 A.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Lafayette, IN on March 31, 1939 the daughter of Dwight and Lucille Reprogle Morecraft. Lynn married Richard McKinney in 1960 and he preceded her in death.
She was a 1957 graduate of Peru High School and a homemaker. Lynn was a dedicated mother, grandmother and lover of animals. She enjoyed scrapbooking, sitting out on the porch during storms and walking in the rain. She also loved to color with her grandchildren. Lynn was a devout Christian whose faith guided her in every endeavor.
Lynn is survived by her children, Sandra Kammerer and her husband Larry of Greenwood, IN, Richard McKinney and his wife Cyndi of Panama City, FL and Susan Ziegler and her husband Paul of Greenwood, IN; grandchildren Jessica McKinney, Matthew Ziegler, Angela Ziegler, Nicole Ziegler and Sarah Ziegler; and her sister, Judi Pherson and her husband Gary of Logansport, IN.
A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Lynn Diane McKinney will be held at 6:00 P.M., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru, IN with Pastor Ryan Lewellen officiating. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
