Lauranne H. Munns, formerly of Peru, passed away on March 2, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, IN. Lauranne was born in Peru, IN on January 6, 1942 the daughter of Lawrence and Estella Garber. Lauranne married Larry R. Smith, she then married Terry Brechbiel and then married Jerry Munns. She was a 1960 graduate of Peru High School and a homemaker and a life member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. She is survived by a son Eric Smith and his wife Cathy of Denver, IN, a daughter Lori Summers, Tipton, IN; grandchildren Race Summers, Dalton Summers, Barrie Lauran Summers, Lorrie Summers, Jensen Summers; Samantha Smith and Emily Smith; a great granddaughter Devon Lauran McGuff-Summers; a sister Mary Jo Husband and a brother Ralph “Butch” Garber. She was preceded in death by parents and her husband’s Larry and Jerry. Family and friends will gather from Noon until 2:00 PM, on Saturday, March 12 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN. A service celebrating the life of Lauranne will be begin at 2:00 PM following visitation. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru, IN directly following the service. There will be a public gathering for family and friends at the Peru Maennerchor, 154 S. Wabash St, Peru, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for sharing of fond memories and fellowship with snacks and refreshments provided.
