Harry Smith, 73, of Amboy, IN, passed away at 11:05 P.M., Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at North Woods Village, Kokomo, IN. He was born in Kokomo, IN on February 9, 1939 the son of Charlie and Flossie Bowles Smith. Harry married Patricia McDaniel in Peru, IN on June 3, 1967 and she survives.

He was a 1957 graduate of Clay Township High School, and was employed at the Chrysler Transmission Plant for more than 30 years retiring in 1998. Harry attended the Life and Grace Bible Fellowship and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Pat, are daughters, Debbie (Randy) Bowland of Amboy, IN and Christine (Richard) Saylors of Converse, IN, sons, Charles (Sheryl) Smith of Kokomo, and Harry (Darcy) Smith of Grayling, MI. a brother Authonel Smith of Upland, IN , a sister, Martha Jane Miller of FL, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Gaffney and a brother Wayne Smith.

Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main, Amboy, IN with Pastors John Haines and Roy McDaniel officiating. Friends may call after 11:00 A.M., Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
