Nancy J. Hall, 81, of Peru, passed away at 9:36 A.M., Sunday, April 14, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Peru on June 14, 1942, the daughter of Harold A. and Esther V. (Loe) Hostetler. Nancy married Oscar “Bud” Hall on December 28, 1963 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2019. Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Peru High School and a supervisor at Target, retiring with over 21 years of service. Nancy’s passion was her family. She always put them ahead of herself. She would light up when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were around. She was an avid cookbook collector and loved reading them and saving recipes. Her fried chicken was the best ever. She was passionate about caring for her plants in her free time. Nancy was a lifelong Peru Basketball fan. Back in the old Tigarena days the family always had the same season tickets. And after the move to the new Tigarena, her and Bud were a fixture behind the Tiger bench. She also loved watching the Pacers. She would talk about basketball with anyone. Surviving is a son Mark Hall (Jennifer Forth) of Peru and a daughter Karla Kinzie (Larry Williamson) of Peru; grandchildren Shelbianna (Christian) Fulton, Samantha Hall, Brody (Tiffany) Baker, Brandon Baker and Zachary Kinzie; great-grandchildren Jackson Fulton, Landyn Baker, Kaysin Workman, Bristol Baker and Brantley Baker, a sister Dixie (Joe) Trinkle and a sister in law Bev Hostetler. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband “Bud”; brothers Ron, Jim, Don and Norman; a sister Linda; and daughter in law Kimberly Hall. A Memorial Service, celebrating the life of Nancy H. Hall will be held at 6:00P.M., Monday, April 22, 2024 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru with Pastor Kenny Cole officiating. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Monday, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Marion National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to the Peru Jr./Sr. High School Athletics.
