Martha L. Dempsey, 78, of Peru, passed away at 9:02 AM, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her daughter’s residence.

Martha married John Dempsey on December 14, 1957 and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2016.

Martha is survived by her daughter Brenda Monetti, a grandson Jorden Prater (Cassie), great-grand daughter Kiaree Maynard; a son David Dempsey (Kim) and granddaughter Kayla Dempsey; a daughter Cherie Vigar, grandsons Ronald Hofmann and Doyal Hofmann (Lesley) and great granddaughter Ava Case; a brother R. H. Pinkerton and a sister-in-law Helen Rodriguez and her husband Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John E. Dempsey and her brothers Carl and Arnie Pinkerton. A service celebrating the life of Martha L. Dempsey will be held at the Apostolic Chapel, 760 Jackson Avenue, Peru, IN, at 11:00 AM, on Friday, September 8, 2017 with Pastor Brent Wedding officiating. There will be a graveside service at 12:30 P.M. at Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport, IN.
