Loretta A. Doran, 101, of Peru, passed away at 8:30 P.M., Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru. She was born in Peru on April 2, 1916, the daughter of Otto and Dora Myers Moore. Loretta married Charles Marion Doran in Culver IN, on January 1, 1935 and they were married for over 60 years before he preceded her in death on July 28, 1996. Loretta attended Peru High School and was a member of the Parkview United Methodist Church. She was very devoted to her church and to her family, and spent a lot of time reading her bible. Loretta enjoyed crocheting, gardening and sewing and she was a member of the Town and Country Hobby Club. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Marion Doran and Charles E. Doran; daughters, Lori Doran and Nancy Wenzler and her husband Danny; grandchildren Anna Mathews and her husband Charlie, Ronald Allen Doran, Caralee Griffith and her husband Wayne, Edward Doran and Roger Doran and Natalie Heustis and her husband Tom; great-grandchildren, David Paul, Christopher, Tiffany (Brian) Inabitt, Alexander and great-great-grandchildren Daisey and Ele. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; daughters-in-law Nancy Doran and Licha Doran and grandchildren Alfred E. Doran and David Andrew Doran. A service celebrating the life of Loretta A. Doran will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru with Rev. J. Robert Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 11:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home or to Parkview UMC, 1785 S State Road 19, Peru, IN 46970.
