Florence Adrienne Haines, 79 of North Grove IN passed away at 12:58 pm Friday, December 22, 2017 at Aperion Care in Peru. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 16, 1938 the daughter of Charles A. and Helen Lyle Hancock. Florence married Rev. John E. Haines in Columbus, Ohio on September 9, 1961 and he survives.

Florence was a 1956 graduate of South High School in Columbus, Ohio and attended Calvary Bible College. She was a classical pianist and assisted her husband in the Youth Ministries at the various churches where her husband pastored. Florence also served as a clerk in the Harrison Township Trustees office.

Surviving in addition to her husband John is a daughter Charity Haines of Peru, brothers Charles Hancock and his wife Ruth, Frazeysburg, Ohio, Larry Hancock and his wife Linda of Frazeysburg, Ohio, Timothy Hancock and his wife Sherry of MO, and John Hancock and his wife Judy of Grove City, Ohio and a sister Susan Miller and her husband Kenneth of Rogersville, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Stephen J. Haines and a sister Nancy Hancock.

A service celebrating the life of Florence A. Haines will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at the Bunker Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 279 W. Broadway, Bunker Hill, IN with Pastor Bill Sheets officiating. Burial will follow at the Santé Fe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM -2:00 PM Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be to the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to assist family with final expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main Street, Amboy, IN.
