Doris E. Trent, 84, of Flint, MI, passed away at 1:35 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born on July 4, 1927 in Bloomington, IN the daughter of Charles and Stella Penrod Durnal. She married Raymond E. Trent in Indianapolis, IN on June 4, 1955 and he survives.

Doris was a 1945 graduate of Monticello High School and a 1948 graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a register nurse at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis.

A woman of great faith and integrity, Doris was active in the ProLife Movement on the local, state and national level. She valued most her domestic life with her family and was a devoted wife and mother.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 56 years Ray, is a son Blake Trent of Flint, MI and a brother Reed A. Durnal of Monticello, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Reed E. Trent.

A service celebrating the life of Doris E. Trent will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Rev. Francis I. Kilcline III officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 PM on Thursday.
