Betty E (Hisey) Moser

Betty E. Moser, 92, of Peru, passed away at 9:15 PM, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Blair Ridge Health Campus, Peru. Betty was born in Chattanooga, Ohio on November 8, 1925, the daughter of Elmer and Carrie Berron Hisey. Betty married Max W. Moser on January 5, 1947 and he preceded her in death July 6, 1972. She was a member of the Parkview United Methodist Church and of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Betty was a homemaker, a former employee of Cox Cable, here in Peru and Grissom Federal Credit Union until she retired. Betty is survived by her children Lynn and his wife Karen Moser, Peru, IN, a daughter-in-law Wantana “Sandy” Moser of Kokomo, IN: grandchildren James and his wife Arica Moser, Stacy Moser and Gregory and his wife Taryn Moser; great grandchildren Abby Moser, Judson Moser, Sullivan Moser and Max Moser; sisters Carol Rude and her husband David, of AZ and Alice Rose of Vanwert, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Max and a son Douglas Moser. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main Street, Peru, IN with Pastors J. Robert Clark and Catherine Koziatek. Family and friends will gather from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date. Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Blair Ridge Health Campus for the care they gave their mother while she was there. In lieu of flowers donations may be made through the funeral home to the Parkview United Methodist Church.
